Harry is a Principal Associate in the Corporate Restructuring & Advisory team and is based in London.
His practice is non-contentious, advising a range of stakeholders (including office-holders, lenders, directors, corporates, creditors and shareholders) on their rights, options and remedies in insolvent and distressed situations. Harry's practice includes:
• acting both seller and buyer-side on business and assets sales (both "pre-packed" and following extensive trading by IPs);
• advising boards of directors on their duties when a company is bordering on insolvency; and
• advising lenders on security enhancements and their enforcement options.
Harry's recent experience includes advising:
• Quantuma Advisory Limited, as joint liquidators of La Perla Global Management (UK) Limited, the globally renowned women’s fashion retailer, on a landmark cross-border insolvency transaction involving parallel proceedings in the UK and Italy;
• administrators from Interpath Ltd on the pre-pack administration sale of Hush Brasseries Limited resulting in the rescue of the Cabana restaurant chain;
• GS Real Estate Development Company Ltd on its acquisition of the East Road development project from Elements (Europe) Ltd (in administration);
• ETM Group on its acquisition of Kitty Hawk from the Maven Leisure Group (in administration);
• administrators from Interpath Ltd on the business and asset disposals of Cenergist Ltd and Mathewson Limited; and
• BDO LLP, as joint administrators of Bambino Mio Limited, on the sale of the business and assets of the company (including its international operations in Holland).
Harry has undertaken work in a broad range of industries including the further education, care home, energy, manufacturing, legal, retail, casual dining and financial services sectors. Examples of previous sector experience include:
• advising the officeholders of a number of energy suppliers, including on a landmark court application for directions which created new law;
• advising the education administrators on the first and second education administrations of further education colleges; and
• acting company-side on the proposal and implementation of a retail CVA.
Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, Harry worked at a firm of insolvency practitioners, where he was responsible for case progression on a range of administrations, liquidations and other insolvency processes.
