Hayley joined Shoosmiths in 2018 and qualified as an Associate in the employment team having completed her Training Contract at the firm.
Hayley has a wide range of experience advising clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters, and assists clients with the employment aspects of M&A transactions and investments. Hayley works with the firm's corporate and commercial teams to review and prepare employment related documentation as part of wider due diligence projects and data protection queries.
Hayley is also experienced in handling Tribunal litigation, including claims for unfair dismissal, discrimination and collective consultation, and has a successful track record negotiating commercial settlements for both employee and employer clients. She assists clients with day to day advisory work, including the preparation of Service Agreements, contracts of employment, staff handbooks and settlement agreements.
Hayley also prepares and delivers client training sessions and writes publications on a range of HR topics, including amongst others, hybrid working and disability in the workplace.
Prior to joining shoosmiths, Hayley worked as a paralegal in a City firm, specialising in employment law.
