Isabel is a banking and finance solicitor and joined Shoosmiths as an Associate in September 2023. She has a range of debt finance experience, including real estate finance, acquisition finance and asset based lending. She mainly acts lender side, including for UK clearing banks and other financial institutions, but also works for national and international corporates and funds.
Recent transactions include:
- working lender side on a £175 million syndicated facility to a group of leading retailers, including working with four jurisdictions;
- advising two challenger banks on a £33 million financing for the acquisition of a top wholesaler group by a private equity firm; and
- acting for a UK clearing bank on a £120 million refinancing of an agricultural business involving instructing international counsel.
Isabel graduated from University College London with a degree in Law with Australian Law prior to undertaking her training contract at Pinsent Masons in London. Whilst training, Isabel acted for four banks on a syndicated, multijurisdictional deal for £430 million of unsecured debt facilities.
