Mahesh is a Legal Director in our Financial Services Disputes and Investigations team. He advises a broad range of financial institutions, including major UK clearing banks, private banks, funders, and large corporates.
His experience spans regulated and unregulated finance and banking products, with a focus on asset finance, contractual and commercial disputes, recoveries, fraud investigation and litigation, mis-selling claims, and complex consumer credit disputes.
Mahesh’s recent work highlights include:
- Advising a retail bank on a multimillion-pound asset finance fraud.
- Representing a major retail bank in a multimillion pound buy-to-let secured portfolio claim, involving agency principles related to receivers.
- Acting in a contested commercial property possession case, which was subject to an appeal considering the principles in Vodafone v IPCom.
- Defending a bank in a breach of confidence claim brought by a consultancy firm over alleged misuse of confidential information.
- Advising a well-known brand on regulatory and civil claims following a large-scale data breach.
- Supporting a major motor vehicle stock funder in a complex fraud investigation involving data analytics, asset recovery, and litigation.
- Guiding motor finance clients through the ongoing motor finance commission mis-selling wave.
