PK advises on technology and FinTech arrangements, including on cutting-edge areas such as blockchain, digital assets, and cryptocurrencies. He has been advising on FinTech (including BankTech, InsurTech, and RegTech) arrangements since he started his legal career - and co-heads the FinTech offering at Shoosmiths.
His deep sector knowledge, extensive experience, and vast network are valued by clients. He is particularly passionate about guiding new entrants in the FinTech space, helping them navigate complex legal and regulatory landscapes and successfully launch their products.
PK also co-heads Shoosmiths’ Blockchain, Digital Assets, and Crypto group, where he supports forward-thinking strategies and solutions for clients.
In addition to his private practice experience, PK has held various in-house legal positions, one of which was serving as General Counsel of a prominent digital challenger bank during a significant phase in its journey.
PK is a member of Shoosmiths’ Technology Sector Executive team. In 2023 he was appointed as a member of techUK’s Financial Services Council through which he plays a role in shaping the future of FinTech and emerging areas such blockchain, digital assets, and cryptocurrencies.
PK is a regular speaker at FinTech events. He was part of the Shoosmiths team that was recognised with the ‘Highly Commended’ award for The Fintech Advisory Firm of the Year at the FinTech Awards London 2024.
