Wei is a dual-qualified corporate lawyer (England & Wales and Hong Kong) with extensive experience advising clients on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures (including shareholders’ agreements), corporate reorganisations, and general corporate advisory matters.
In addition to her work in London, Wei spent two years practising in Hong Kong as a corporate and finance lawyer, where she advised clients on a broad range of matters including corporate, commercial, insurance, general finance, and ship finance transactions.
Wei regularly advises clients across the globe, with a particular focus on transactions involving China and other emerging markets. She is a native speaker of Mandarin and Cantonese and is fluent in English, enabling her to bridge legal and cultural gaps in complex international deals.
Before joining Shoosmiths, Wei spent nearly a decade at Dentons London office. She was trained at Clyde & Co and practised in both its London and Hong Kong offices, and also worked at Norton Rose Fulbright in Hong Kong.
